HI-POD ( http://www.hi-pod.com) is looking for camera operators for the upcoming US Soccer Development Academy playoffs. The playoffs will occur June 26-29 in Greensboro, NC.We are looking for 10 operators. Each operator must become
versed in the use of the HI-POD. That means you will be responsible for
setting up and taking down a HI-POD. Basic operation includes elevating the
HI-POD to 31 feet, leveling, controlling pan and tilt functions, managing all
electronics (battery, lcd & cables) , and understanding safety precautions.
We will conduct training sessions on Tuesday, 23 and Wednesday, 24 June. Training is a prerequisite to being hired for the job. Lunch will be provided. There is no compensation for training.
In addition to HI-POD operation and maintenance you will also be responsible
for use of a Panasonic AVCHD camcorder. This includes white balance, SD card
management, camera battery management, camera levelling, and sd card
organization as well as obvious zoom / record functions.
Basic knowledge of soccer is a must.

examples at the hi-podcasts.com site. Select the Real So Cal Soccer channel
for examples of tournament footage.
The tournament will pay $150/day. The tournament is 4 days. Meals , drinks
and snacks are covered by the tournament. Training is required because there
is not time to learn on the job.
