Paul Heckmann is the owner and webmaster of this site.
Mr. Heckmann got his start in the entertainment industry as talent at age 11 in a commercial for A-1 Waco Rental in the central Texas town of Waco. Some of his over 100 projects since then range from safety & industrial films for 7-11 to one of Ron Howard's first directorial films "Cotton Candy", and to Oliver Stone's "Any Given Sunday."
Paul is from Texas, born in Fort Worth and having grown up in a town a few miles outside of Waco, TX. He attended Midway and Richfield HS, then attended Waco's Baylor University and Texas A & I University in Kingsville, TX, studying Marketing, Management, Health and Physical Education.
After leaving Texas A & I in 1976, he moved to Dallas and worked as manager for Playboy of Dallas, Papagayos, DaVinci's and other Dallas night clubs. He was a model with the Sarah Norton agency, doing print ads for Fashion Dallas, the Dallas Morning News, Houston Post, GQ and other newspapers and magazines. He's also worked as a print model in New York, LA and other major cities around the world. While with Sarah Norton, he did his first series work in the late 70's on the "Dallas" TV series, and also the "Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader" movies, "Tough Enough" and Howard's "Cotton Candy".
In 1984, Paul went to work for Carnival Cruise Lines, and quickly rose to the rank of Chief Purser / Hotel Manager. He continued working overseas in the cruise business until 1990, when he moved back to Dallas.
Currently Paul is the VP of Operations and Marketing for Debt Relief of America. He's a member of various screenwriters, producers and director groups and has been with the Linda McAlister Talent Agency since the mid-90's. (see resume below)
